Signed for Doncaster Rovers midway through the 2001/2002 season and became an instant hit, helping Rovers to promotion from the Conference the following season and yet again from League Two the season after.
Ricky was expected to sign on a free transfer to Chester City in pre-season but a move fell through and he spent 1 month on loan at the Deva Stadium before moving to Blundell Park.
