Youngster Paul Ashton is a talented 18 year old midfielder who was added to the playing squad before the home game at Shrewsbury. One to look out forin the future for certain. However lets hope he is not rushed into to early.

Paul was formely a youth with Leicester City and recently switched to the Mariners youth side before his step up. A good prospect for Town, also has been spending time with non league Whitby Town on loan.

Paul was released on a free transfer in December 2006.
