Sunderland.
Slade made it clear he was hunting for a top class Championship striker following the loss of in-form attackers Isaiah Rankin and Phil Jevons at the end of the 03/04 season. Andy Parkinson was snapped up and it was thought Slade had his man.
Reddy signed a 2 year contract a few days later and this set the tongues wagging why a player of his calibre would chose to move to a club like Town and in our biggest demise in recent years.
The former Wednesday loanee started his career on a good note after a pre season injury Michael netted on his debut after coming of the bench in the 1-1 home draw with Boston United.
However mixed thoughts about his potential has emerged over Blundell Park as he found a regular place warming the subs bench after a string of lackluster peformances. To give him credit Michael picked up his game and has reclaimed his place however if Town are in need of a decent season this man clearly needs to start scoring goals again after netting 15 in the 05/06 season aswell as making the League Two team of the season.
Irish striker Reddy started of with Sunderland in 1998 and he played with the club until 2004, but was loaned out to a different number of clubs before hid first permanent move to Grimsby in July 2004.
