Campbell signed as a pro for Leicester City as a youngster at the start of the 1996/1997 season. Stuart was told to be one of the promising youngsters at Filbert Street and made a slight impact on the first team.
Stuart never settled in as a regular but was always in and off the bench making 51 apperances in toal for The Foxes. Campby was loaned to Birmingham City 2 months but however only made 2 sub apperances whilst on loan at St Andrews.

At the start of the 2000/2001 season Campbell was loaned to Grimsby Town for 3 months. Campby settled in well and became an instant favourite with the fans, he got really stuck in and earned himself a contract. The Mariners payed Leicester £200,000 for Campbell after his loan was completed and the Scot joined permanently.
Campby can play all over midfield and was mainly used on the left side within his 4 year stay at Blundell Park.
After two succesive relegations Campbell turned down the opportunity to play for The Mariners this season, and moved to fellow League Two outfit Bristol Rovers. Personally I feel Campbell would of been worth a go at a Championship team, but his peformance in his last season may have still been good, but it really lacked in comparison to his other 3 years.
Campbell qualifies as a legend, he is a decent midfielder with still bags of potential, and years left in him.

Still only maturing as a professional footballer Stuart has still got a lot to learn, he can certainly push forward , and definetly move up a few leagues. Given the right supprt it is possible he cvould make the calibre of the Premiership again one day, as he did when he was there with Leicester.
