This is due to banks being worried that a club may not complete its fixtures in a season and that the bank would have to refund money paid through the Cards to the customers. This is a matter than many football fans are not aware of and something that needs actioning as only 2 clubs have ever failed to play their full quota of games in a season.
If you agree that this witholding of funds from ALL football clubs is wrong then please sign the petition that has been started by the Burnley Supporters' Trust. This situation equally affects GTFC. This petition will be sent to all the major banks and credit card companies through the MP for Burnley, Kitty Ussher.
