The former Sunderland and Shrewsbury player verbally agreed and shook on a 2 year deal with Russell Slade, and the player was announced as an official signing(and the first of the season) on the official website last month. However within 30 minutes of the article "Midfielder Signs On" being written, Aiston reportedly did a u-turn and signed for Darlington, leaving manager and fans a little peeved.
