Last week Anderson had an unsuccessful trial with Dunfermline and was forced to return to Blundell Park early.
The 26-year-old appears to have no future at Blundell Park after telling Russell Slade he would rather return to the SPL than play in League Two.
Anderson took part in a behind closed doors friendly against Airdrie United today (Tuesday).
