With six points in the bag and results going Town's way, the league table looks a lot healthier with the Mariners sitting just six points off the joint leaders, Plymouth and Brighton.
Anderson, obviously on a high after the win, told the Grimsby Telegraph that he expects to be up in the promotion places soon.
"I think we can easily get up there now," he said. "There's only been a couple of teams better than us so far, and the rest have been games we've given away. It's a tough league and anyone can beat anybody on their day."
"The boys are buzzing and you can feel it in the dressing room and when we're training. We've got a lift, but that's what winning games does for you."
Town now face two tricky away games against Barnsley and Rushden & Diamonds. Two wins in those game would no doubt put Town in a prime position. Two defeats could drag them into a relegation battle though, such is the small gap between the two extremes of the table.
