The speedy frontman took just 25 minutes of the season to open his account against Plymouth but has since drawn blanks against Doncaster and Port Vale. With a win needed on Saturday against Luton, Boulding's goals would never be more crucial.
Whilst some of his team-mates are new to the hussle and bussle of division two, Boulding is unfazed by the physical attention having started his professional career in the 3rd Division at Mansfield.
"I started in the Third Division with Mansfield, so I knew exactly what it was going to be like," Boulding told BBC Radio Humberside
"I had no qualms about what the team was going to face and we're going to have to work very hard still and grind out a lot of results."
"It's obviously different to Division One. You know a lot of teams are playing 'the long ball'. There's not a lot of teams in this division that get it down and play it back.
"I think we if we're going to be successful in this division. We have to do exactly that, get it down and play football."
