The 12 goal striker missed the FA Cup defeat at Peterborough last Saturday after injuring his hip in training on Friday.
The area is still causing pain to Boulding, meaning he could miss out on the visit to Dean Court.
"Michael's got a sore area around the hip, and he's not been able to get it going," manager Paul Groves told Mariners Net.
Boulding still a doubt
"He hasn't been able to train at this moment in time. If he is fit, we'll have to have a look at him."
If Boulding fails to recover, Phil Jevons will get another chance to impress Groves from the start.
