Grimsby Town announced Cambridge United midfielder Kingsley Mbome is to train with the club after leaving his former club earlier this month.
Cameroonian U21 starlet, Mbome has not settled at Cambridge and may be added to the Mariners squad on a short term deal if he can impress manager Russell Slade this week when he joins Town for training.
Former Queens Park Rangers striker Richard Paquette was also expected to be given a run out as Town looked for a reserve striker to replace Darren Mansaram, however Paquette opted to join non league outfit Fisher Athletic on a free transfer as the deal was permanent. Paquette who was released by Milton Keynes Dons would of only been a possible signing only given a week to show Slade whether he is worthy of more professional football or not.
