Davison himself pulled of a series of first class saves to keep the Seasiders at bay but refused to take any credit.
"I don't think it had a lot to with me," he added. "I think the lads in front of me worked as a unit. They were absolutely outstanding, so I don't take a lot of satisfaction.
"You make a couple of saves and they look great, but the lads in front of me did all the grafting."
"Clean sheets definitely help with overall confidence. This result will definitely help, but we're not getting carried away yet."
Captain John McDermott also praised Crane as well as fellow defenders Mike Edwards and rookie Greg Young.
"I thought Craney, Mike Edwards in the first half and Greg (Young) in the second half were outstanding, and Craney has popped up at the back post and got a goal," Macca said.
"I think that just sums his performance up. He has had a great spell in the last three or four games. He has set his standards and he has got to keep to them."
