Both had previously been ruled out for the season. Young with a dislocated shoulder and Armstrong with a torn thigh muscle.
However both have recovered ahead of schedule and with Tony Crane suspended for Saturday's crucial trip to Tranmere, both are expected to at least make the squad.
Both are capable of the centreback role, Young's best form has come from that position this season. Armstrong is more versatile and could slot into midfield if needed.
Meanwhile Law has spoke of his disappointment at Crane's needless suspension.
"It's a blow to us to have one of our big players unavailable but that's mainly down to Tony himself," he told the Grimsby Telegraph.
"He's got to cut out the silly bookings from his game because he misses too many matches because of it.
"It's needless really and I've had a word with him this week about it.
"It's frustrating for everyone; for Tony to have to sit out so many games in a season and for us when we need everyone available."
