Early goal the key

Brian Little's men come to Blundell Park with Town in confident mood after their second half performance against Brentford.

Groves is aware that the Merseyside outfit will be a tough test and is keen to see his team hit the back of the net early on, and to keep calm if they don't.

"They will try and stop us from getting going," Groves told the Grimsby Telegraph. "But if we get that early goal it will change the whole game.

"That's the gameplan. We have to start as quickly as we can, get a goal, and force the opposition to come out at us to try and get back in the game.

"That will open the game up and that's what we want."
