The 20-year-old striker had rejected several contract offers throughout the summer as he waited for an improved offer.
With Russell Slade refusing to budge on the offer for a player who seemed unlikely to get much first team action, a move away from Blundell Park seemed likely.
However with Slade failing to bring in a target man for the new season, a week-to-week deal was put Mansaram's way. A deal suiting both parties. Slade has the advantage of discarding Mansaram at short notice should he find a target man in the coming season, whilst also getting the chance to see Flash in league action. Mansaram hasn't committed to a long term deal he's unhappy with, but he does have the chance to show Slade he's worth a better deal.
Mansaram takes shirt number 19 and is a good bet to start up front with Ashley Sestanovic and Andy Parkinson at Darlington.
