Groves breaks silence over Scunny rumours

Groves hasn't spoken to the media since his sacking almost two weeks ago, despite still staying on at the club as a player.

Groves' future is far from clear with Town. It's very unlikely he'll feature again as a player with caretaker boss Graham Rodger not naming him any of his squads so far.

Groves is thought to be keen to leave Town as soon as possible and with Brian Laws keen to add an experienced midfielder to his squad, a short trip up the M180 could bring his exit.

However Groves has played down the speculation with a short statement.

"The Scunthorpe thing is pure speculation. Someone has put two and two together and made five," Groves said.
