The frontman joined Rovers last month on a free transfer from Town. His spell on Merseyside brought just one start and two subs apperances.

Rovers boss Brian Little decided that Iffy wasn't the man for him and contacted Huddersfield boss Peter Jackson, who also tried to sign him last month.

Onuora joins the Yorkshire outfit until the end of the season with Jon Newby going out on loan to York City.

Jackson was clearly delighted at capturing the fans favourite but seems somewhat deluded as to Iffy's abilities.

"With Jon’s departure it was important I brought a striker in which I have done and I’m delighted it’s Iffy. I tried to sign him before Tranmere did, but I just missed out on him and I was surprised when Brian Little told me that I could approach the player," Jackson told the Huddersfield website.

"He was a firm favourite here as a player and I hope he can re- establish himself between now and the end of the season. With nine games to go I’m sure he will be a big hit. He has pace and the ability to come on and change games and I’m sure everyone will get behind him."

Pace? Errrr, sure!
