The former Everton man continued his impressive reserve form on Wednesday with a hat-trick in the 5-2 win over Scunthorpe.
Despite his hunger for goal since renegotiating his contract, Jevons has yet to get any first team action - although has spent the past month or so as an unused sub.
"I am coming back stronger and getting fitter all the time," Jevons told the Grimsby Telegraph.
"Hopefully I can just keep pushing for a place in the first team.
"Ultimately it is up to the manager - all I can do is keep playing well.
"At the end of the day it's the manager's decision and I respect that.
"I'm just going to get my head down, work hard and be patient," he said.
