Law slams poor defending

Town managed four goals at Saltergate but also failed to shut out the Derbyshire outfit with four goals conceded.

Law slammed the number of free-kicks and corners that his side gave away, especially after he pointed out Chesterfield's reliance on them.

"Obviously the game has ended on a sour note. We've picked some injuries up, a sending off. It's almost like defeat after coming back and showing great spirit, then to concede the late goal is very disappointing," he told MarinersNet.
"We've scored four goals from open play, and we knew they wouldn't cause us a threat from open play. They play for long throws and their game is based on long throws and we fell foul to them. We gave away too many throws and free-kicks and we failed to deal with them."
