Livvo rejected the chance to sign for former Town boss Alan Buckley at Rochdale, instead opting for the closer to his home Brunton Park.
Livvo's time with the Cumbrians has proved far from successful, his first game saw him sent off for fighting with York player-boss Chris Brass. In his second dismissal came in his eight game against Lincoln. Livvo managed just one more game to take his total to nine apperances with no goals.
The change of manager from Roddy Collins to Paul Simpson damaged Livingstone's chances of first team football and the big man opted to cut up his contract earlier this week, allowing the club to bring someone else in.
With a back injury plauging him, Livvo opted to call it a day and concentrate on his property business.
The bigman joined Town from Chelsea in 1993 for £140,000. In the nine years and nine months at the club he notched up over 200 games with 51 goals to his name.
Arguably his finest moment came in 1997 when second division Town hosted League Cup holders Leicester in said competition. The Foxes were cruising at half-time thanks to a Ian Marshall goal.
Livvo was brought on at half-time as Town went more direct, to say the holders couldn't handle Livvo is an understatement. After Kevin Jobling levelled the tie, Livvo went onto add two goals to leave the Foxes' tail well and truly between their legs.
His final few years with Town were hampered by injury and his final season brought the sickening skull injury after colliding with Derby's Danny Higginbotham.
The likeable striker never recovered and really should have retired then.
For most Town fans though, a place in their heart will always be held by the ugly, ginger but bloody passionate striker.
