Paul Groves has met with the board of directors this week to discuss his options with regards keeping the pair.
Groves still has money in the kitty for a striker meaning that Onuora future appears to lie with the Mariners, a free transfer from Sheffield United seems the likely option.
Rotherham midfielder Nick Daws has impressed during his spell at Blundell Park, more so than Onuora. But with no confirmed budget for another midfielder and the likes of Alan Pouton and Stacy Coldicott to return, a loan move looks to be the best he can hope for.
However if Paul Groves gets his wish of loaning out rookie pro's like Graham Hockless and Chris Bolder, he may find the finances to make Daws a permanent addition to his squad.
