It seemed that Russell Slade would not be renewing his interest in Marcelle, with a return to Scarborough as player-coach more likely.
However with Michael Reddy not yet fully fit and no big target man arrived, Slade has opted to retain the former Barnsley man on a week-to-week basis.
It is thought that once Reddy is back to full fitness Marcelle will be shown the door, but the little man could well earn himself a longer deal should he impress.
