Steve Mildenhall: The New Number 1!!!
Grimsby Town finally secured one position safe for the new season after signing there new first choice keeper. Oldham Athletic keeper Steve Mildenhall has signed a 2 year contract at Blundell Park.

Town now have 3 senior Goalkeepers. Mildenhall will take up the main slot with cover from ex Nottingham Forest keeper John Lukic and youth team keeper Rob Murray. Town last month failed in a bid to bring in Sunderland keeper Michael Ingham, and the Northern Ireland U21 joined up with Wrexham on a 2 year contract following a decent loan spell.

Then there was high speculation about Kevin Pressman or Scott Shearer arriving at Grimsby, also Lincoln City keeper Alan Marriott was also mentioned before he put pen to paper on a 3 year contract extension at Sincil Bank.

Mildenhall is told to be a decent keeper, at 6ft 5 he is certainly built for the position. Oldham only used Mildenhall as there number 2 and back up for the impressive Les Pogliacomi.
