The Mariners are in Scotland for a week-long training camp, but were rarely in the game at te Forthbank Stadium.
They gave the home side an easy chance to open the scoring after eight minutes when Ryan Borris was felled by Nick Hegarty in the area.
Chris Aitken converted the penalty, with Nicky Clark doubling the score after 80 minutes.
