The offer is extended to all supporters with tickets priced at
just £5 for adults, juniors, students, the unemployed and senior citizens.
There will also be a system for fans who simply wish to pay on the night at
the turnstiles, instead of calling in at the Ticket Office for a specific
seat. With the visiting fans being housed in the corner section of the
Osmond Stand only, it will mean that Mariners fans will be able to pay £5 on
the turnstiles to sit in the Osmond Stand behind the goal which will be an
unreserved seating area.
Ticket Office Manager Steve Wraith says, " The club urges fans to either
come down to the ticket office prior to the day of the match to get their
tickets, so we can avoid any major congestion on matchday or alternatively,
book their tickets by credit card over the phone on 01472 605050. However,
if fans want to pay on the turnstile on the night, then the Osmond Stand
will be used for unreserved seating for this match with Stockport County."
After the part the fans played in Saturday's victory over Sheffield United,
club officials are hopeful that the special offer will result in a near full
house at Blundell Park for what is another vital match in the Mariners
battle to stay in Division One. Boss Paul Groves is delighted with the news
and explains, " The support the team got against Sheffield United was
tremendous and the fans really spurred the lads on to victory. We all know
how important this home game is, and if the fans can be here in their
numbers thanks to this special offer, then it will be a major boost to the
players. There is no doubting the difference the fans can make."
