Ramsden in talks

22-year-old Ramsden never really broke onto the big stage at the Stadium of Light but did impress at Notts County when on loan two seasons ago.

Mainly a right back, Ramsden has played up front on a few occasions for the Black Cats' reserve team.

It is thought that Slade is offering a 12-month contract to Ramsden with early indications very strong that he'll sign before the weeks out.
