R.I.P Bill Carr

Carr was Town chairman between 1995 and 1999. During that time he saw his beloved Mariners in their greatest ever season, 1997/98, which took in two successful Wembley visits, promotion back to the first division and the Auto Windscreens Shield.
Carr was a Town fan first, a club official second. The man was GTFC through and through and he will be greatly missed by all at the club.
We would like to pass on our condolences to his family. A minute's silence will be held in tribute before tomorrow's game with Brighton.
