Rowan left Town this summer after a much reduced contract offer was put in front of him.
Now the 22-year-old could be set to link up with former Mariners Paul Crichton, Paul Groves, Kevin Donovan and Lee Nogan and Bootham Crescent.
Rowan has spent the past few weeks on trial with the Conference new boys and has fought of the challenge of fellow trialists, Paul Brayson.
Whilst ex Cardiff and Cheltenham striker Brayson was shown the door, Rowan was handed an extended stay with player-manager Chris Brass keen to take another look at the Tetney born youngster.
