Sestanovich, who's form of late has dropped to a poor level, left the ground after manager Russell Slade informed him he would be amongst the five substitutes against Swansea.
Sestanovich is excepted to return to Sheffield United on Monday to explain his actions to Blades boss Neil Warnock.
It is generally seen as unlikely that Slade will welcome Sestanovich back into his side leaving a murky future for the much travelled youngster.
Having also seen Michael Reddy injured in the Swansea game, Slade could well now recall Darren Mansaram from his loan spell at Halifax.
