24-year-old Reddy was released by Sunderland at the end of last season after failing to break into Mick McCarthy's first team plans.
The majority of Reddy's first team football has came from loan spells with Sheffield Wednesday, Hull, Barnsley, Swindon and York.
Reddy's form whilst on loan has seen him speculation for several moves this summer but Slade was able to tempt the Irishman to Town.
Standing at 6'1 Reddy will most likely be used as the central man of Slade's 3 man strike force this season, charged with the task of firing the goals to get Town promotion.
Reddy has signed a two-year deal with Town but won't feature in tonights game against Scarborough due to a slight injury.
