Coldicott suffered the nasty injury during Town's 1-1 draw with Burnley last March.
Progress has proved slow for the Redditch born battler with his private life taking a centre stage, much against his wishes.
Now the no nonsense Coldicott is nearing a return, a game for either the reserves or a competitive training game is likely.
"If he's OK, he'll get some sort of run out this week. Whether it's in reserve or an in-house game, he's getting to the stage where he's wanting to play in some sort of competitive game, or practice game," manager Paul Groves told BBC Humberside
"It's not one we want to rush, but if we can get him back that'll be a bonus."
Groves also revealed that Lee Thorpe's loan deal won't officially start until this coming Friday, allowing the club an extra week with the player after Saturday's game with Bristol City was called off.
