The midfielder was ready to make his return after a terrible 11 month injury hell. The road to recovery, from the broken leg suffered at Burnley, has proved long and slow - the waterlogged Bootham Crescent pitch meaning at least another week before Coldicott can test his fitness.
Speaking to the official site before the game was called off, Coldicott admitted he was desperate to get back in the fold of things.
"I'm looking forward to it and getting back to playing and doing everything else that I really enjoy," he told Mariners Net.
Stacy comeback delayed
"It was good to be back out there because I haven't had a lot of contact with some of them. I've got to get to know them again now. I'm looking forward to it and the ones I haven't played with seem like good lads.
"I just have to get involved and hopefully help us get some results on the pitch."
