Croudson was released by Boston United in May after failing to displace Paul Bastock from the No 1 jersey at York Street.
After returning to Blundell Park to take part in pre-season training, in the slight hope of winning a deal, Croudson moved on after it became clear a deal would not emerge.
Now with Borough facing a goalkeeping injury crisis, Croudson has penned a deal and will hope to remove Andy Woodman from between the sticks.
