COCA COLA LEAGUE TWO 2005/2006

1ST DARLINGTON-Probably one of the best supported clubs in the league, great tradition and some big name players. Darlo were late runners last season and were very unlucky not to make the play-offs. With such a decent looking side, GTM are backing Darlo to sweep aside all this season to be crowned champions.
DANGER MEN: Clyde Wijnhard, Craig Hignett, Alun Armstrong

2ND NORTHAMPTON TOWN- Town boss Colin Calderwood has added strength in most areas, one of them being Grimsby danger man Jason Crowe. Northampton will be a force to be reckoned with this season, and we are tipping them to finish a close second behind Darlo.
DANGER MEN: Andy Kirk, Jason Crowe, Eoin Jess

3RD WYCOMBE WANDERERS-The Chairboys have continued to add higher league quality to there squad. After fielding veterans Steve Claridge, Steve Guppy and Rob Lee last season, only Lee has stayed on. Manager John Gorman has added some more "names" to the squad which should send the southerners to automatic promotion.
DANGER MEN: Kevin Betsy, Stefan Oakes, Nathan Tyson

4TH MACCLESFIELD TOWN-One of the smallest supported clubs in the league, one of the smallest grounds in the league, but one of the best sides in the league. After losing out in the play-off semi finals last season to Lincoln City, Macclesfield boss Brian Horton is putting the final touches to his side, who are hoping to go one better this season.
DANGER MEN-Jon Parkin, Mark Bailey, Dan Whitaker

5TH PETERBOROUGH UNITED-The Posh will need to adjust quickly to League Two after there relegation to prevent themselves having a howler first season like Grimsby did last term, however GTM has tipped them to make a good start, and has backed them to get a place in the play-offs.
DANGER MEN: Trevor Benjamin, Peter Gain, Callum Willock

6TH GRIMSBY TOWN-Decent signings and squad strengthening has been the key this pre-season. And the exciting signings of Jean-Paul Kamudimba and Tom Newey has refreshed the whole side. First impressions in pre-season are very good, and fingers crossed Russell Slade may lead us to a play-off spot.
DANGER MEN: Michael Reddy, Jean-Paul Kamudimba, Tom Newey

7TH BOSTON UNITED-Overall looking very strong in attack with veteran strikers Julian Joachim, Noel Whealan, Daryl Clare and Jason Lee in there side, but other positions look slightly frail, however GTM are backing Boston to pip into the play-offs.
DANGER MEN: Julian Joachim, Noel Whealan, Daryl Clare

8TH LINCOLN CITY-Had to compensate for a lot of departed players, despite signing a few decent players, the pain caused by no more Yeo,Taylor-Fletcher,Gain,Butcher,Futcher and Sandwith may lead Lincoln to have there worse season in the past 4 years. GTM think Lincoln will just miss out on a play off spot this season. However there second choice side faired better against Grimsby than there regulars in a recent pre-season friendly.
DANGER MEN: Paul Mayo, Dean Keates, Derek Asamoah

9TH MANSFIELD TOWN-Carlton Palmer's Stags will be in the running all season but GTM don't think they will be strong enough to break into a final play-off spot. A decent looking side, and a pretty good pre-season has helped greatly, but the club will struggle to break into the top 7.
DANGER MEN: Matthew Tipton, Rhys Day, Adam Rundle

10TH BRISTOL ROVERS-The sleeping giants of the league. After predicted promotion last term, it seemed unfair to big them up this time round after a shockingly awful 04/05 season, along with Oxford and Grimsby, they were the leagues biggest underachievers. Rovers will do better this season, but still not quite there yet.
DANGER MEN: Stuart Campbell, Junior Agogo, Jamie Forrester

11TH WREXHAM-After suffering financial difficulties last season, they were deducated 10 points in league one and were relegated. However if the club did not go into administration we would of been seeing Milton Keynes Dons in this sticky mess. GTM don't quite think that Wrexham are good enough to climb back up, but none the less are capable of a top half finish.
DANGER MEN: Chris Armstrong, Jonathan Walters, Darren Ferguson

12TH TORQUAY UNITED-Helen Chamberlain will shoot me for not putting these guys in the top 7. However after a fairytale season being in League One, they were drummed by most and sent back down to the league they are used to operating in. They take up the last top half spot, but they will not be contenders for a play-off spot.
DANGER MEN: Joe Osei-Kuffour, Leon Constantine, Matt Hockley

13TH OXFORD UNITED-Another failure season is about to embark on Oxford, GTM feel, after losing a few of there stronger players such as Tommy Mooney, has the curse of being one of the leagues bigger clubs taken its toll on Oxford yet again? 13th finish for the Uni boys.
DANGER MEN: Lee Bradbury, Chris Hargreaves, Steve Basham

14TH CHELTENHAM TOWN-Consolidation is the best bet for little old Cheltenham, a 14th spot would be fairly admirable for Town. Cheltenham have some good useful players, such as defender Jamie Victory and attacker Kayode Odejayi, however a 14th spot is where GTM feel they will end up.
DANGER MEN: Steve Guinan, Damian Spencer, Kayode Odejayi

15TH ROCHDALE- A good finish to the season saw Rochdale finish not far of the play-offs, but decisions like letting go playmaker Leo Bertos may fall against Dale, despite fending of intrest from other clubs for the signature of free scoring attacker Grant Holt.
DANGER MEN: Grant Holt, Ernie Cooksey, Neil Brisco

16TH NOTTS COUNTY-Only a slight improvement on last season, but I cannot see County making big waves this season in League Two. They have some decent individual players in the side, but can the Nottinghamshire outfit, once of the Premiership, cut it as a complete team. GTM predicts 16th place.
DANGER MEN: Gavin Gordon, Glynn Hurst, Ruben Zadkovich

17TH LEYTON ORIENT-Orient have the unfortunate luck of being backed to struggle every season, they never make the drop and they very rarely contend for promotion, so GTM predict Orient will have another mid-table season resting in 17th.
DANGER MEN: Gary Alexander, Craig Easton, Lee Steele

18TH STOCKPORT COUNTY-GTM predict Stockport's entry into League Two will be just as disasterous as Grimsby's first year in the competition. Former Wednesday manager Chris Turner, will have to do something drastic from stopping Stockport's demise. GTM predict an 18th spot in there debut season.
DANGER MEN: Jermaine Easter, Damien Allen, Rob Clare

19TH BARNET-Conference champions Barnet, could boast as the suprise team this season, as last season Yeovil destoyed all in winning the league at there second attempt at trying. GTM predicts Barnet may struggle despite what looks a fresh side.
DANGER MEN: Guiliano Grazioli, Ian Hendon, Richard Graham

20TH SHREWSBURY TOWN-The loss of a few so-called stars such as Sam Aiston may turn things sour this term for the Shrews. However they have made a few decent signings, but I cannot see anything but a bottom of the table struggle for the Shrews this season.
DANGER MEN: Mark Stallard, Neil Sorvel, Mike Sheron

21ST BURY FC-Graham Barrow's men are backed by most and by GTM to struggle to stay in the professional basement league again this term. It seems five minutes ago since teams like Bury, Stockport, Notts County, Oxford and ourselves were all strugglers in Division One(Championship League) and a few seasons later and two leagues lower, here we go. GTM predicts 21st for Bury.
DANGER MEN: Brian Barry-Murphy, Stuart Barlow, Dwayne Matthis

22ND CARLISLE UNITED-After one season in the conference GTM are backing Carlisle to do what they have always done best, avoiding relegation slightly. Despite a decent couple of signings, they have accquired king of blunders Anthony Williams as there number 1, Willo was the worst Grimsby keeper in 30 years and with him between the sticks Carlisle are more than likely going to be down there.
DANGER MEN: Karl Hawley, Adam Murray, Chris Lumsdon

23RD CHESTER CITY-There is nothing really that much to say. Despite being managed by Keith Curle, who in all fairness is not a bad manager, they look to have nothing better than what they had last term, and they struggled last term. GTM is sorry to predict Chester to be relegated to the Conference league, ending the season in 23rd.
DANGER MEN: Michael Branch, Justin Walker, Shaun Hessey

24TH RUSHDEN AND DIAMONDS-Sadly after there chairman Max Griggs left ,the millionaire toy football club has sunk into a big coma, Rushden seem to be heading for there origin, non league football. GTM predicts Rushden to finish rock bottom in 24th, and sunken without a fight.
DANGER MEN: Drewe Broughton, Dave Savage, Andy Burgess
