"It was a combination of Rochdale being good and us being bad. Give them credit, they are flying high and they are a good team going forward but we didn't make it hard enough for them and you can't give away the type of goals we gave away and expect to beat anybody," said Woods.
"We didn't deserve to go in 3-1 down at half-time, it could easily have been 3-0 or 4-0 to Rochdale. In the second half we had the wind behind us but even then we huffed and puffed without any quality and their fourth goal just summed up the quality of our performance.
"Nobody ever wants to lose games but there are ways of losing games and to say I am angry and disappointed with the way we lost this one would be an understatement. Our supporters were superb, but we let them down.
"Rochdale were better in every department. They out-competed us and there are few positives to take. We have to show more fire than we did here."
