Ian Moore bagged a brace as Burnley brushed aside the feeble challenge of Grimsby to book an FA Cup fourth round date at Brentford.
Moore set Burnley on their way in the 26th minute with a glorious left-foot finish and completed the rout in stoppage time.
In between a fine solo effort from Glen Little and a penalty from Robbie Blake after Grimsby substitute Ian Ward had fouled Dimitri Papadopoulos secured a comprehensive win.
Grimsby, who put six past the Clarets in a Nationwide Division One fixture just weeks ago, did not manage a single shot on target on a night they will want to forget quickly.
The only surprise was that it took Burnley until the 78th minute to add a second goal and make the replay result a formality.
Time and again they split an injury-hit Grimsby defence apart but consistently failed to find the end product.
Moore's opener was a beauty after he had drifted past Steve Chettle - the pick of the goals in a one-sided contest.
There was precious little cheer for a handful of away supporters in a meagre crowd of 5,436.
