Grimsby Town registered their first win of the campaign as they secured a shock 2-1 victory at previously high-flying Luton Town.
The match was delayed for a few minutes because of a colour clash with the Hatters eventually forced to wear their orange away strip and Grimsby deciding to play in their silver away shirts.
In a lively opening both sides had good chances to take the lead with Courtney Pitt going particularly close for the Hatters with a 25-yard drive.
However, it was the visitors who finally broke the deadlock in the 34th minute when Iain Anderson blasted home from 20 yards – his third goal of the campaign.
Stuart Campbell almost doubled the Mariners lead with a long-range effort that grazed the bar before Marcel Cas fired against the bar just before the interval.
Paul Groves' side continued to dominate after the break as Luton struggled to create any clear-cut chances.
However, as the half wore on Luton began increase the pressure on the Grimsby rearguard so it was something of a surprise when the visitors doubled their lead with 13 minutes left.
Jonathan Rowan sent Marcel Cas clear and when the former Notts County star crossed, Michael Boulding was on hand to head home.
Luton were handed some consolation when they were awarded a late penalty after Simon Ford brought down substitute Dean Crowe in the area.
Kevin Nicholls stepped up to beat Aidan Davison with the spot-kick but it proved to be too little too late for Mike Newell's side.
